Sunday A.M. Connections

A sense of family and spiritual growth begins in one of our adult classes. Each class is designed to help adults connect with others, while learning the Scriptures and how they apply to everyday life.

The key to this time on Sunday is to give insight for living. Be sure to check out what each class is offering.

Prayer-Connecting With God in a Distracting World

Leaders: Scott & Penney Forbes, Room #4, **Starts October 30, 2011**

As the holiday season approaches, many of us are aware of an inner desire to stay connected to God and not become so distracted and overwhelmed by the extra obligations. Some of us are looking for ways to deepen our relationship with God and experience the inner transformation that we hear about. Perhaps, you have wondered at times if there is more to being a Christ follower than what you have experienced. This interactive course will seek to address these longings through deepening and expanding your prayer life. Since we do not all relate to God in the same way, included in the course is a “Prayer Styles Self-Assessment” that will guide you toward one of four styles of prayer—innovative, searching, relational, and experiential. Over 25 different expressions of these prayer styles, found in church history, will be explained with opportunities for you to “learn by doing.” Learning to pray in new ways will enrich your prayer life while connecting you more fully to the presence of God in your everyday activities.
