Home Group Coming Events
“WHY”
A 6-week series and study for all home groups to kick off the fall season.
Starts on Sunday September 14.
Kick-Off / Celebration Sunday
On Sunday, September 7 Victory will be having its annual Kick-Off Sunday gearing up our fall programming. We also hope to be celebrating the ground breaking of our new building. To make this event special, we are looking for those of you who would be willing to bake/purchase bite sized pastries such as muffins, breads, donut holes, etc. for this event. Share Your Story
On September 7 we are looking for people who would be willing to share their story about the change that Christ has made in their lives.
Your story will be shared as a “Cardboard Testimony.” You will give us one word or a short phrase that describes what your life was like “before Christ” (i.e.: “Addict” or “Abused as a child” or “Cancer victim”) and a word or short phrase to describe your life “after Christ” (i.e.: “Free”/”Sober for 8 years” or “Learned to forgive” or “Healed”).
If interested, please email your “Cardboard Testimony” to Pastor Vaughn at vaughnvs@victoryhighway.com. Please make your submissions by Wednesday, September 3.
You may participate in as many services as you would like to on September 7. Arrive 10-15 minutes before each service in the back room off the west side of the platform for further instructions. Don’t miss this opportunity to give God the glory for what He has done in your life and to be an encouragement to the Victory family.
Missions Update
A few weeks ago, while I was in Indiana, I was able to spend some time with the Aukerman’s (Matt, Caryl, Noah, and Grace) who are Global Partners missionaries in Albania. They had an unexpected blessing of finding out that Caryl is pregnant and due on February 25. They wanted everyone to know that they are very thankful for the financial support and prayers that come from Victory. They ask for prayer for the baby and as they meet with Global Partners to set up a timetable for their return and wisdom for the decisions that have to be made.

Promise Keepers
Grab life by the truth and experience this year’s Promise Keepers event! We are carpooling from Victory to the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH for the 2008 conference September 5 -6. The total cost for the conference is $165 ($85 is due at the time of pre-registration). This covers transportation, hotel with continental breakfast, conference fee, and a box lunch. This class is designed for couples in committed relationships, and is required if you are planning to be married by one of Victory's pastors. There is a fee per couple to cover the cost of the required reading for the class.

V.L.D.I.
Victory Life Development Institute is our discipleship track designed to help you develop into a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Each of the 5 classes are designed to teach Biblical principles and skills to help you grow. The next VLDI will be on September 28, 2008. All classes are from 12:30-5:00pm with lunch provided.
