Salvation Army Dinner Helpers: Did you know that since 1992 Victory has prepared and served a hot dinner at the Salvation Army once a month? Some slots are filled through A Time to Serve, but there are more just waiting for you, your Bible Study or Home Group to serve those in need in our community. Please call Carol Hawkins at 607-962-0030 if you are willing to be blessed.

We need to add a few Ushers and Greeters to our wonderful team of faithful Sunday morning servants.
Bulletin Stuffers
More bulletin stuffers are needed to give just a few minutes of time once a month.
The Library is in need of additional assistants to work after the Sunday morning services. If you have ever considered serving the Lord at Victory and were looking for a place to do so, the library is a wonderful opportunity. Contact MaryLou Gehman at library@victoryhighway.com.

Missions
Update on Bethany Morse, Global Partners missionary to Zambia: Bethany finished her midwife schooling in August and now needs to take her certification exam before returning to the field. She is actually in Zambia now for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Zimba hospital. Please keep her in your prayers as she discerns where she will go in her next assignment as a missionary midwife nurse. She thanks everyone for their prayers and support.
Baby Dedication
Victory’s next Baby Dedication will be held on Sunday, September 12th. If you would like to have your child dedicated at that time, please email ncmattison@victoryhighway.com.
Boundaries
Boundaries help us define who we are and who we are not. Join us for an 8-week study by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend beginning Thursday, September 9th from 7-9PM in Room#5.
Pregnancy Resource Center Banquet
Eyes to See… A Heart to Care is the theme for this year’s Annual Fundraising Banquet for The Pregnancy Resource Center of the Valleys. A wonderful complimentary dinner and program with speakers Connie and Dan Ambrecht are planned for Thursday, September 30th at Family Life Ministries in Bath. Seating begins at 5:30 with dinner and program from 6:00 to 8:00. RSVP by September 10th to 776-8004. Home Groups and Bible Study groups are encouraged to attend. A wonderful evening out!
Legacy Builders (55+)
LEGACY BUILDERS (55+) luncheon will be held on Wednesday, September 8th at 12:00 Noon. Please bring a LARGE dish to pass, your own table service and A FRIEND!! Entertainment will follow the luncheon. If you have any questions, please contact Gary Hart at ghart57@verizon.net.
Grouplink
Home groups are an important part of Victory’s discipleship strategy. A Home Group is a place where people study God's word together, grow together and discuss real life issues. They are a place where you will be missed if you don’t show up. Because our staff cannot personally minister to everyone who attends our church, we place a very high emphasis on our Home groups. Our Home groups do life together. That is why we offer Grouplink.
GroupLink is a 90 minute event for anyone interested in being in a Home group. You'll meet and connect with others in a laid back setting where you will be matched up with others in a group that best meets YOUR needs. By the end of the night you'll leave connected, have a place to meet, and begin on a journey that will help you to put God first in your life. Stop by our pre-registration table in the lobby on Sunday September 5th and 12th to sign up and ask any questions that you might have.

Fall Family Festival

VictoryKids Volunteers
Mark your calendars for a District Children’s Ministry Training Event - “The Huddle”. It will be held here at Victory on Saturday, November 13. Great music, great speakers and specialized training programs. More info to come!
A Fall Kick-off Training Session is scheduled for ALL Children’s Ministry Volunteers (teen and adult) and Substitutes in all areas – nursery, preschool & grade school. Everyone needs to attend one of the meetings – August 29 or September 9 from 6:30-8:00pm in order to be prepared to serve this September.

Baptism Class
Due to Labor Day Holiday, September’s Baptism Class will be held on Sunday, September 12th in Room #1 at 8:30AM.
Victory Life Development Institute is our discipleship track designed to help you develop into a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Each of the 5 classes is designed to teach Biblical principles and skills to help you grow.
Class 101: Discovering the Basics led by Pastor Ted Roloson. begins on Sunday, September 12 and runs through Sunday, October 3 @ 8:30AM. This class will teach you what it means to be a Christ follower. You will learn how to pray, read your Bible, resist temptation, experience forgiveness, know you are a Christian, and how to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Class 201: Discovering the Habits of Highly Successful Christians, taught by Matt Strack, will begin on Sunday, September 12 and run through Sunday October 3 @ 9:50AM in Room #5.

Angel Food Ministries
Victory Angel Food Ministries is now accepting orders for our September 18 food distribution. You do not have to buy a signature box to buy a special box. Specials now include after school snacks and complete meal kits. Order forms are available in the lobby, at the library and online. Be sure to have your order in by September 11 at noon. Give us a call at 607-426-4758 if you have questions.
Women's Ministries
Ladies, come and join us on Sunday mornings at 11:10AM in Room #4. Feel free to join us at any time as we use God’s Word, a variety of tools, and life experience to grow in the Lord together.
Did you sign up for Women of Faith on October 8-9? If you did and you are interested in carpooling, please indicate on your communication card that you (1) can drive or (2) need a ride. If you wish to drive, let us know how many ladies you can take.
